    In recent months, we have received numerous media, public and law enforcement inquiries (and complaints) reference individuals or groups falsely identifying themselves as storm chasing scientists, media, researchers, disaster rescuers, etc. The goal of these individuals is to mislead the media or law enforcement for various purposes. We caution all media and editorial sources to thoroughly investigate an individuals background and actual employment before committing to interviews. In addition, in July of 2008, the Associated Press reported an incident involving the sale of "faked" video footage to NBC and CBS. This is a growing problem on the internet. We can supply you with approved video and still image sources.
